Time To Fix Up

Well yesterday was yet another bad day, I wasn’t playing good at all and the only positive thing that came out of yesterday was that my loss was lessened by the fact I cleared my 1st Stellar Reward.

So after some hard thinking about what I am doing wrong I noticed that I was playing far too loose and bluffing way to much and that this has only started to happen recently, so I will try to make this change if I want to win at these stakes over the long run, I have also moved back to 2NL FR Zoom as it is much softer than the 6 Max tables.

Although I know I will have to make the change eventually right now isn’t the right time to do it, so I’ll be back at the FR tables full time from now on, I am also doing a sweat session every night with 2 of my Skype Group members too see if they can spot any leaks and mistakes in my game, so I am hoping that this can help us all out.

How Not To Win A Pot

Well yesterday (Monday) I got some volume in (2300 Hand at 2NL Zoom FR, 1000 Hands 2NL 6 Max Zoom and some at 2NL 6 Max Regular) I played just under 4,000 hands but only showing a profit of $4.22 this being due to my bad play in some parts and also not being able to win a single pot at showdown, nit’s were killing my action.

However a profit is a profit so I am still happy about this and today is a new day.

I am slowly learning to play a good 6 Max game, with the help of my study group and a few forum posts and articles.

My Skype group is coming along good now with over 15 members and chat bursting with discussion all day long, this has caused a few members to leave but there the ones missing out.

Down Swing, Up Swing

Well, the fiancees been ill recently so I’ve been trying my best too look after her and make her fell better as she is back at work on Monday and can’t take any more time off, but that’s a different matter, yesterday (Sunday) was a strange day, I played and continued my downswing at the 2NL FR Zoom, switched to 2NL 6 Max Zoom won a little there and then played a few non zoom 6 Max tables, full of fish. (One who staked me twice, with the worst hand when we got it in, so it took me while to adjust and get it back, but a fish being a fish he ended up loosing a fair bit of his cash and then tilt shoved his 79off into my AK)

Well my $18 downswing is no over, I was back to break even and now working on profit. My Skype group is coming along great, we have a good range of players in the group my next aim is to make sure we are all winning and hopefully this wont take too long we have a range of 2NL 5NL 10NL and even 50NL players.

Well not a very good day at the tables, I couldn’t seem to get a winning hand to showdown, I ran into AA with my KK,QQ ran into AA with AK on a King high board, lost set under set with 33 vs QQ. I also wasn’t playing my best so wasn’t going to be raking in the pots any time soon, I managed to minimize the losses to just $10 but my first real losing day since switching to 2NL Full Ring.

However life moves on and so will I, hopefully this will only be one of few loosing days and I’ll let the graph do the rest of the talking.

 

And one last thing, I did manage to do something productive today, I am now the runner of a Micro cash game study group on Skype named after this blog, so hopefully that takes off a bit and ends up helping us all out and improve and move forward with our games.

10 More BIs

Well yesterday was yet another good day at the tables for me, I am unsure how long this will continue for and whether or not it will stop once I move up the stakes onto 5NL etc but I won’t knock it, as it is helping the good old bankroll buildvery quickly.

I didn’t put much volume in at the tables as my fiancee was feeling ill and I would rather keep her happy than be locked away on my own away from her when she is ill. Saying that though I did manage to squeeze in 2.3K hands and have a profit of $20.52 I also played in 2 freerolls (10FPP and 20FPP) and I cashed in one for just short of $0.50 every little helps.

Well after my heaters of all heaters last night, I spent the rest of the day breaking even, although during my sessions in the day I didn’t win or lose much I noticed I was playing too many hands OOP. So I spent an hour or so working on this, and am now using a much tighter approach when calling raises or playing a hand OOP.

Although the peak of the day was at +$26 I finished on around +$20 which still isn’t a bad day, however I put in a fair bit of volume playing almost 5,000 hands today which I was quite proud of.

One thing I wasn’t proud of was loosing a BI at 5nl zoom, when I know full well I shouldn’t of even been at the table, but we all learn from mistakes and I won’t be sitting there again till I am full rolled or even over rolled for that stake.

And one last thing before my graph for the day, I would like to say well done to “7th Lion” for making the leap from firstly 6 Max zoom to Full Ring zoom and secondly the jump from 2NL to 5NL wish you all the luck and run good up there mate, but leave some $$$ for me to collect once I catch you up.

Well, after my break even sort of day yesterday, I decided to put a late night session into action, and my god was I running hot, I was running so hot that the wooden stool I was sitting on caught fire.

Well to those non believers of this magnificent tale I am telling to you all here is the proof in the pudding, enjoy. One more thing, Dan I did it, 10 BIs in less than a day 🙂 Ambitious targets hey.

Well today was eventful if I can say, I wasn’t playing my A game, made a few mistakes and also ran on the wrong side of luck at some points, there were a few hands that I played today that made me feel like giving up, but I was in the minus and I never stop playing whilst in negative numbers unless I really have too.

However I realised what I was doing wrong, I was playing a bit too loose and wasn’t paying attention to the other players positions as much as usual, but although the day wasn’t going too well I ended up with a small loss of $0.23 over 2,000 hands.

Well I took the dive and moved from MTTs and SnGs to the bread and butter of online poker, the good old cash games, the 1st day wasn’t so good and I played some 6 Max Zoom, some 6 Max, and some Full Ring Zoom.

I won some money to begin with but then went on a downswing which hit hard and I tilted and lost some more $. However since I’ve chose to stick to just Full Ring over the past 3 days and 4K Hands I am currently looking at $31.19 Profit.

So overall I am $5.94 in profit at cash games due to me loosing a bit at 6 Max and other games.
